What an amazing experience for us! Lydia was our first child to get married, and Oakhurst was the perfect place for that first wedding. You were extremely influential in giving Kyle and Lydia the wedding of their dreams. Both they and the guests have said over and over again that it was the "perfect" wedding. And, it was.
Linda, you were the first person Kyle and Lydia met when they first came to the venue. They will never forget your welcoming smile and your warm hugs. Thank you for making them feel like family from the very beginning. You have created a special, special wedding venue (and trust me, I visited at least 30)! You are such a beautiful person, and we appreciate your helpfulness, your graciousness, your flexibility, and the way your primary goal was to make Lydia and Kyle happy on their wedding day. Thank you for creating Oakhurst to to be extremely "bride-friendly." You have definitely succeeded.
Alexis, you were the first person I met the day I came to pre-view Oakhurst for Lydia. You were warm and welcoming and so helpful at making this first-time mother-of-the-bride feel at ease. When I first drove up, I was taken a little aback that Oakhurst was in a pastoral setting in the "middle of nowhere." (I am a country girl, so it didn't bother me, but I wasn't sure about Kyle and Lydia.) But, once I met you and I saw the beauty of Oakhurst, I forgot where I was and knew I was in a special wedding venue. I had no worries at the rehearsal nor the day of the wedding. You gave me an almost totally stress-free day. If I had questions (some asked more than once), you answered them. If I needed something, you provided it. If there was a problem, you took care of it. When the next step in the schedule was about to happen, you kept us informed. And, you were both so attentive to Kyle and Lydia the entire time, continually -- it was unbelievable. You were organized, which is important to me, and everything flowed perfectly. Thank you for putting up with this "frantic" mother-of-the-bride --- you are both very special, and we could never have done this without you!
I would recommend highly Oakhurst to anyone who asks. Lydia had her perfect "storybook" wedding in a perfect "storybook" place. Oakhurst satisfied both the Southern family of the bride and the Northern (mostly New York) family of the groom. Everything was so beautiful, the gardens, the Hall, it could not have been a more perfect event! The staff at Oakhurst was so pleasant and kind and we just cannot find the words to express our gratitude to everyone there.
We are still getting emails and calls from friends and family to say what a beautiful wedding it was and how beautiful Oakhurst was. Your staff took care of every single detail without our asking - some things we had not even thought of ourselves. out inside when we had to shift the ceremony inside due to
weather was probably one of the things I was most pleased
with. Oakhurst is an amazing location to hold an event. I
believe the grounds are gorgeous and the potential for whatever

place to have an event outdoors, but indoors as well. My
